Been spending some quality time in the garage lately. Lots of updates to come in the next few weeks. Here's the first.
Decided it was time to start pulling the doors off the car in preparation for the new ones to be hung. Fairly simple process, although I completely gutted the drivers door. I don't plan on keeping the old doors, but want all the parts I can get off of them.

There was another reason to pull the door. Well actually just the drivers side so far. I need to install my new gauge cluster from Classic Instruments. I'll finally have a working speedometer! It's only been about 24 years 🤣
How it looked with the original cluster.

Now to do all of the wiring. But I'm tapped out for today so that will have to wait a little bit longer.

Thanks D, I'm excited too! The lighting in the old cluster worked, but was horrid at night to see the gauges. Every time I pulled it apart, all the lights were working, but once back together it didn't seem like any were. Not sure if the ribbon film that provided power to them was causing issues, but the new cluster has built in led's so I'll be able to see them now!

Been waiting for 2 MONTHS to post this!
Today was the day I've been waiting for! I hinted in my post the other day that I had new tires and what was I going to mount them on. Well, these are it!

I realize they are very similar to my old wheels. I really didn't even want to replace the old ones, but they were no longer available to order in my size and offset, and was running VERY tight to front calipers, so much that I couldn't balance them properly because there wasn't even room for stick on weights.
So I went down the rabbit hole of wheels. This has taken me months of searching to make a decision on size, style, and vendor.
I ended up keeping the same exact size. 18x9.5 with 0 offset. But, these are forged, two piece wheels custom made for me. They even matched the script I used on the horn button, for the centercaps on the wheels.
To give you an idea on the possibilities I was researching, I even went as far as find forged wheel blanks, because we have a new Haas 5 axis cnc at my work and it has been sitting idle because we haven't had time to learn how to use it yet. So I figured I could machine my own wheels. Well the blanks are more expensive than I thought and knowing I would probably mess a couple up learning, it just didn't make sense.
So after looking at companies to make them, and looking, and looking more, I was shocked at how much they charge per wheel. No way I could afford that, nor do I think my car is worth putting that much into.
So, these are cnc machined, but from China... I know, I know. Trust me, I get it. But for 1/3 of the price and I got to see every step of the way. If you have interest in getting your own, reach out to me and I'll give you all of the information.
Here's a few pics I got during the design process, and some of the machining as well.

After test fitting one tonight, I'll be dropping them off at the ship to have the tires mounted this week, and hopefully install them this weekend.

But in all seriousness, nice looking wheel you got out of it. Can't be any worse than the Forgiato and Rucci wheels that you see people have break on them after dropping $5k plus

I really like the look of the bolts on the circumference. Always have. Hopefully you have no issues with the mounting and balancing. And I also agree that some wheels are way too expensive and unnecessary.

Thanks Tony. I was going back and forth about the bolts... do I get a single piece wheel for a smoother look. How would each actually look on the car? Finally just had to pull the trigger and make a decision. In addition, I actually bought 5 wheels so just in case one gets damaged, I have a spare.

Another update. I stumbled across the matching RideTech front sway bar for sale on FB. It was in NJ and the guy wouldn't ship. But I wanted one when I bought my front suspension and just couldn't swing it. Then they stopped making that style. Figured it was time sh*t or get off the pot. So Saturday morning I left for NJ at 7am to pick it up.

Got it, headed home, and was back just after lunch!

Before with my old bar.

Comparison. The "old" bar is a 36mm F body unit!
