BUILD THREAD Project long time coming

Well, I was trying to keep the suspense going but I'm too excited myself.
The plan is C6 Z06 front six piston calipers, 14" front rotors, and LS1 rear disc's. Found the rear brake backing plate assemblies. Those are on their way currently. Still haven't heard anything from Kore3 yet about the front brackets and calipers. Little nervous about the front fitment. Car isn't currently at my house. I store it at my parents a few miles away for the winter. Hoping they fit inside my 18" wheels. 🤞

Pics of what the Z06 calipers look like. They take 6 individual brake pads for each caliper. One for each piston.

You just keeping the Blazer spindles and notching them for the adapter brackets? I'm watching along. Really want bigger brakes, might do all 4 next winter, and upgrade rear to disc's. I'd like some bigger wheels too, but haven't found the right ones yet.
With the stock (not Z06) caliper very little clearing of the Blazer spindle is required. Keep your eyes peeled on fleabay or at any local shop that does alot of Vette upgrades. Vette guys think those brakes suck and they need bigger, so they usually leave the old parts at the shop. The calipers used aren't cheap, but the caliper brackets we difficult to find for us. We have a spare set of front calipers, and C4 rears for something someday lol.

Shawn, I was under the impression that the Z06 fronts would fit in a 17" wheel. I'm sure they'll fit your 18's unless you have a strangely designed wheel.

I have read good and bad about the individual padlets. Supposedly the design, when pushed hard, flexes too much. I'm sure regular street craziness wouldn't cause issues.
Do you know if those are made by Brembo ?

From what I've been reading, most 18" wheels fit, but some don't... mine are just cast, not forged, so I know they are thicker... time will tell.

I believe they are but not 100% positive. They are obsolete from GM, cheapest I could find them was from Kore3 in their kit.

There is a very good likelihood you are gonna have to space your wheel out to clear those big boys, thats what I had to do with my 20s. I have been debating on buying some forged wheels for it over the winter but want to focus on finishing up the blazer and get the Monte running more consistent before worrying about wheels

So just heard from Kore3. Oh those calipers aren't available anymore, but you can upgrade to the Wilwood Aero for an extra $$$$. Ummmm, then why are they for sale on your website?
I had a feeling that was going to happen. Not a happy camper and I would highly recommend you go to ANY other source for your brake products than them.

Now to fall back and punt.

In other news the rear brake parts just showed up. At least that seller had them. The backing plates are rougher than I was hoping. Which sucks because they are obsolete from GM too... they will work, just ugly. 😒
