It's only a 4 pt, so my head won't be near any bars. I'm not worried about street driving it. If I had an 8pt that would be a COMPLETELY different story.
Guess I'll die then 😉😆It's only a 4 pt, so my head won't be near any bars. I'm not worried about street driving it. If I had an 8pt that would be a COMPLETELY different story.
I don't really see any other way to do it. If everything goes as planned, I'm hoping to remove the six rear most body mount bolts, loosen the two in front of the front doors, and pick the body up/tilt it about 6". I think that will give me enough room to weld the down bars to the main hoop on top.Are you planning to pick the body off?
Did I mention I also grabbed a welding blanket at Harbor Freight? As long as I have enough room I should be good to go.... famous last words 🤣Tig, yes. Mig, not so much unless you can really keep track of your sparks. I needed a foot.
Like the lift BTW.
Yeah, I've honestly been dreading installing this and that was one of my concerns. Originally I wanted to keep my back seat. Not because anyone is going to use it, I just think it looks better than not having one. Still undecided on how I'm going to finish the area off.I didn't know HF had them. I was looking at buying one a couple of days ago, so I can finish my front crossbar. I'll look into one.
The rear bars suck trying to get them to hit correctly and go down through the rear speaker panel. I messed with it for almost day and ended up just putting them through the rear seat after considering that the rear seat could only be used by Plasticman or his brother.
