Are the painted bumpers stock on that car?

No, it should have chrome bumpers like the others. That color isn't stock either.

Yeah, I kinda thought so. It looked kind of natural with the matching painted bumpers.

I was definately suprised when I saw the show saturday morning.
I almost bought that exact wagon about 4 years ago. The paint and wheels are dead give-aways.
The painted bumpers and the fact that '78-'79 Century's are the ugliest of all G-bodies are why I kept looking...
I ended up buying my Cutlass wagon a couple months later.

Blake are you sure it was the same wagon? The show is taped in Franklin Tn, and I live in Hendersonville Tn. That car was on a car lot just a mile away from my house for years until the show bought it.

Awesome!
But.....
so much money.... I don't feel so good 😳 :puke:
I don't even wanna know how much those suspension parts cost. Especially if they're not even gonna take full advantage of them.

I always wonder how much they actually drive all the project cars they build..And I also want to know what Horsepower does with all the engines they build

Many of the engines are built for friends of the show. But they have a stock room full of them as well. They have shown them on at least one episode.

I saw an episode of Trucks when Stacey David was the host and I rembemer him saying that they sent a lot of their project trucks to the crusher after they were done,

I believe most of these are sold to various sponsors/companies that use the cars for advertisement at car shows and races. Either way doesnt bother me because most of them are hideous with some gaudy Foose rims.

Yup, definately the same car.
I remember seeing it for sale online in '08, then I stumbled across it again about a year later still for sale.

I saw this car for sale recently on ebay. It hit like $4500 but the reserve wasn't met. It had only one photo of it on a trailer, and there was no drivetrain in it, nor did you get one with the purchase. Now if only I could get my wagon on TV, I could sell it and take my family on a real vacation!

Besides that one episode obviously a great sales tool for a few sponsors, was there any follow up with the car complete and running?

They just did a quick EASY drive. I was just watching the full episodes of the series on Power Block TV but they changed to Power Nation so I'm not sure the episodes are still available. If I had the cash I'd pay 7K for it.

Yup you are right. I actually saw this car for sale just as you described it on a Malibu facebook group. He said the car sold pretty quick. It is unfortunate I was hoping they would finish it up. They never finish their G body projects..
