Another major update finally got a welder for the house kept looking on Craigslist and Facebook market place. Ended up jewing the guys from 600 to 400 on this little 185. Pretty much equivalent to today's 200 series with a little less duty cycle. It's alot like the welder I first learned on which I believe was a 160 miller

So I got the glass taken out of the regal the rear window did go to plan started to come out and shattered. The trunk lid finally came off cut the hinges out removed the side glass. And cut the roof off the cruiser. I still need argon for the new welder so I'm held up there but making good progress

so here you can see that the body lines from the wagon match up to the regal. Width is the same and height is the same. So I will be taking 1 inch below the body line marked with tape. And using a .040 cutoff wheel to cut the line in the body. As seen in the picture. I prepped the panels with a wire wheel and removed all the bs I could from the inside of the roof to make it lighter too move around

Cut out the truck support section and all the braving to get access to the center supports put in a peice of tube between the b pillars and welded up so it wouldn't flop about. Cut off the fender tops and the roof section lots of moving on and off the car cutting fitting and measuring the pics pretty much explain it so I'll let them do the talking

Wouldn't be a bad two tone color scheme. Gold top over blue bottom
