Proof some people have more money than brains

What would be the greatest car chase scene of all times?

The movie Ronin.

But some people won't like it cause it was done with european cars.

That is a good one too

That bit where Halicki slams sideways into the utility pole in gone in 60 seconds is classic. Totally unscripted, and could have done him in even earlier than his ultimate demise while filming The Junkman

The original Italian Job using the early Minis was pretty cool. Some of the various European car chases had a lot of action in them.

Can you imagine the value today of the Aston Martins and Jaguar they pushed off the cliff?!?

Absolutely. Many high end imports have met their demise for the sake of movie making . At the time, however, the cars weren't worth the crazy money that they command in today's times.

I think it was about 3.2 mil high even for an actor owned movie car.
Thankfully it'll likely rarely get driven. The wheel hop on that thing was a b*tch & the 9 speed manual seemed a little hard to shift.
Did like the car chase scene, never really even watched the rest of the movie.
Don't think the movie charger held too much value after filming.
He never owned it. It was actually the one that he drove in the movie.

Saying that people have more money than brains is laughable. The money went to charity therefore the purchase price is a tax write off, when you make the kind of money that you can throw almost 4 million after fees into a car, you need big write offs. Either that or pay it to the government.... And then in 5 years turn around and sell it at auction and it will likely sell higher the next time around and you get your money back plus some. It is actually pretty smart if you understand why.
