I am thinking about replacing the 7.5" rear in my monte ss with a (possible) Quick Performance 9" rear and thought if im going to spend that kind of money why not do the extra (the first time) and upgrade to disk brakes. How ever I dont know what to do about the proportion valve since really it is there for the whole disc n drum brake combo set-up. The suggestion was brought up about using a brake bias valve (aka wilwood). A little insight would be appreciated am I goin in the right direction?

I used master power brakes for my rear disc setup. Great people and very helpful. They make a great products . They also have a proportioning valve for disc -disc setup. The web site is www.mpbrakes.com good luck

1) you will need a master cylinder for 4whl disc--IIRC camaros are the easiest ones to use
2) assuming you'll be pushing it hard, being able to adjust the bias to get it right would be extremely helpful!

thank you hmm I didnt even think about the master cylinder

I'll be using the stock master when I set up rear disks...I'll use an inline valve to keep residual pressure on the rear disk brakes and an adjustable brake bias valve..I'm contemplating getting rid of the power set up and go with manual brakes and for that I'll use a chrysler master for manual brakes..you get much better control over modulation of the brakes with a manual set up
