Streetbu, what kind of vehicle did your setup come from? I have an F body setup here that I want to use on my Malibu, and it has an A.I.R. pump on it. Is there an idler pulley bracket that will take the place of the A.I.R. pump?
I think that early of a serpentine/V belt setup was still clockwise rotation but I will use a Edelbrock waterpump anyway. Thanks for the input. Every little bit helps.I got my stuff off of a 92 S Blazer with a 4.3l throttle body. Everything was perfect. Remember you have to change water pump as it is reverse impeller
FWIW the factory setup on the later V8 cars used a flat belt on the Alt, WP and Crank then a Vbelt for power steering.
All factory stuffs, no special brackets needed.
I tossed an vbelt off the alternator at 6000 rpms which dented my hood. Switched to the flat belt and have not had a single issue since
Car is sleeping under a cover until the weather breaks for an absolute rib count. From memory its either 4 or 5 ribs. Rockauto has pics on their site. A visual clue is the Alternators that used flat pullies had the plastic disk style alternator fan instead of the metal one ( but either will work )

My Monte being an 84 came with the vbelts, but 2 friends have had 86+ MCSS and they both had the Flat belts.
Conversion I recall came in around 85 or 86 right up until they utilized the single belt system in the early 90's. I have seen them on Caprice, Camaro, and SBC powered Gbodies but were likely on others.
You need the Alternator, Waterpump, and Crank pullies as a 3 peice set but I assure you it all bolts in place of the older stuffs with no changes to anything else other than fine tuning the alignment. You will also need an impact gun to swap pullies on your existing alternator or make the excuse of it being a good time for a rebuilt 94 amp upgrade to your alternator.
Sure if you posted something in the wanted section that one of our members would have a set they would be willing to part with

I got the alternator water pump and crank pulley`s on and it is perfect. I am now trying to mount the power steering and am having a hard time getting things to line up. Will have more maybe the end of today.
If youre using the March stuff and have an Edelbrock pump you might to have to shim the bracket out.
One of my neighbors is a machinist and he made a few different spacers out of aluminum round stock for me. Its gotta be right or the belts going to get chaffed on the edge.
