Just send it to them and be done with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got a quote...325 for rebuilding it. Previous owner had a 750 on it and said it was running like a beast. He traded it to a dealer for a GN. I lowballed the dealer price over the phone before ever seeing the car in person and they accepted it. But later on (after talking to original owner) i find out they took that 750 off and put a 600 on it

Correct me if I'm wrong guys but ALL newer style Qjets are 800cfm no?

Contact Dean Oliver about a rebuild. He did one for me a long time ago and his price was very reasonable.

the M4MC style were 750 or 800, most SBC (except in trucks) got the 750, all BOP stuff (even the turbo v6 and NA 4.1) got the 800cfm. And with qjets, the cfm ratings are what it can deliver at MAXIMUM. A 305 will only use about 500-600cfm, but that's the cool thing about qjets. They can never be too big upto about 600hp. But past that guys remove the choke flap and the primary rods entirely, among other things, and run em that way. race only.

Q jets arent hard to rebuild There are a number of HP books on the subject, Amazon has some. I got a kit from NAPA to rebuild them for around $100.00

Ken at Everyday is reasonable, does a very good job and has great customer service. Make sure you let him do a custom tune to your motor, it made a massive difference on my 403 carb. The idle fuel is very restricted on those mid 70's carb, your 455 carb should be closer but still, do it right.

Would I be better off buying a brand new carb? Is it worth rebuilding the qjet?
