one way of knowing how efficient quardarjets are is your 750 quadrajet will work great on a 305 or 307 and up but a holley 750 is too big even for a 350.

Qjets are also vary application specific carbs, especially the idle circuits. There are several idle air bleed and idle air bypass arrangements depending on what engine, along with different choke pull off setups. There are also different idle speed control setups, different vacuum port arrangements, two different fuel inlet angles, several needle valve and inlet seat sizes, different size floats, different size jets and rods, etc.

The more I have found out about these. The more I want to stick with it. It seems like the best fit for this motor. As stated in a previous post. In that I have read about people changing out the metering rods, is that a good option over the factory on Vin 9s?

unless you have modified your engine I would keep it stock

I mean, you could if you so wanted, it does give a slight increase in power, but it won't really be noticeable on a 90% stock motor.

I don't plan on doing much with it. As I said in another thread I just want more Noise.

The Motor wont ever be far from stock at this point. I would like to keep it a matching VIN car.

Here is a Chip my Dad bout for the car. This was back in 2003. Would putting this back in effect the Qjet much?

I assume that's a chip for the ECM behind the passenger kick panel, so unless your car is running rough or something is screwy with the OEM chip, it probably wouldn't do much unless it was a "performance" chip.

Plain old GM cassette radio (try and score one with an EQ, they were optional on almost all of the GM cars in the 80s, standard on the GNX) and just a set of new pioneer 3.5 inch and 4x10 speakers will work fine. Speakers can be had for under 100$ on amazon.

upgrade the sound system

I meant exhaust noise. That wouldn't be bad either.

This is supposed to be a "Performance" chip. But I cant find any literature in this.

My parents put some alpine speakers and cd player in it. 16 years ago. I may look to put something newer in.
