I just bought a ring and pinion from Allstar Performance off of Summit Racing. I was wondering if anyone has delt with these before and are they reliable and worth paying for? It's not for racing application only street use. It's going on a GM 8.5 10 bolt rear end Posi Trac. It's going to be in my Olds with a SBC making around 370 horsepower. I've just never heard of Allstar Performance and don't know if they're any good. Let me know fellow G-Body owners.

Allstar does make the gears, they just rebrand them. We use Allstar produces in our circle track car. The tall ball joints they sell are moog rebranded. I'm not sure who makes their gear sets tho. I have an Allstar aluminium rad in my street car

From what I hear, they are a decent gear and you shouldn't have any issues....for future gears, fyi the summit brand ones are Richmond gears... 🙂

Thanks guys. Good to know cause sometimes it's like bootleg froot loops. Same thing different package. But other times if you buy the cheap sh*t you get sh*t results.
