A brake stand is when you hold down the brakes (stand on it) and then push in the gas at the same time. It produces smoke from the tires. It is also a good way to waste perfectly good tires.

The hop could be caused by unbalanced wheels, worn suspension parts, or the tires themselves.

so he is trying to do a burnout and i take it the rear wheels are hoping?

time to fix/upgrade your rear suspention control arms

yep thats it.

the rear end and the suspension everything is new,and the tires its time to get new ones anyway

make sure your driveshaft is centered in the yoke.

dont just look at it

take it down look at the caps, make sure they are on all the way and put it back in centered

It's the rear trailing arms. The factory ones are to weak and flex, throwing off the suspension geometry. And that causes the rear to hop. I have had this problem in every g-body with posi. Taller tires will help this problem, but then you will lose a bit off the line and your speedo will be out.

Last year I had aftermarket trailing arms and anti-hop bars added. And no more hop. But to save money, you could also just box your factory arms. ANd replace the bushings. I would recomend poly on the rear side, and rubber on the frame side.
