quick ratio steering gear box question

I hope you didn't pay too much for the box and shipping. I've seen the prices posted for rebuilt boxes which aren't bad if the box wasn't available locally. I paid $75 for the Z box.

One thing that you might want to do is spray some oil on the bolts so they'll come out easier and you might want to check those bolts because they have a tendency of rotting out in the frame.

the top bolt and frame looks new but cant see the bottom bolts yet cause of oil lol had a oil pressure gauge hose blow out lol i will be checking good when i get it off though. going to clean everything underthere so i can check all steering componaints

I keep forgetting not everyone lives in snow and salt country...your bolts will probably be fine and it looks like you already oiled them real good.... :lol:

lol yep the first time the hose went it was from being old and it just cracked and busted lol lost all oil then asfter i replaced it 2 weeks later i guess i didnt wrap the new one good so it rubbed 2 holes it the hose and lost all oil then too lmao 3 time i got wise and used a copper hose lol no more damn plastic for me thats been over a month ago and still burnning off the oil lol oh btw the 2nd 1 caused and engine fire after the oil made it down to the exhaust but luckly i was in the yard when it caught so a little spray with the water hose and it was out, nothing burnt lol

that'll be sweet when you get it finished...I always like the look of a wagon.....looking at that snake in your picture gives me an idea for a theft deterrent, make a rubber relica and wrap it around the steering wheel and column... :shock:

lol thats funny you say that lol i had someone try to break in to the place i was staying at in that pic and they opened the window thats in that pic and that was home to that anaconda lol when they were coming in they saw that anaconda and fell out the window noone tried to break in after that her cage was right under the window lol i always put them under the windows so they can get natural light and of course greet idiots as they poke their heads in

well finally got it on. took almost a week lol the store giving me the wrong parts it was tiring but i tell ya what that is one sweeeeet ride now. went from 3 turn l2l to 2&3/4 l2l. did a uturn on a back road with out going outside the lines, it was freaking awesome! thanks for your help
