have you got the print out from the scales?

just wondering what the lightest you've all gotten your cars to. Just got a message from my fab guy saying my 86 cutlass without engine and trans is 1300. It should weigh in right at 2000 after install.

I wonder how that turned out. Copperheads "fab guy" seems like he can spin some pretty tall tails.

An LM7/T56 alone is over 700 lbs and that "1300 lbs" doesn't leave much weight left for frame, suspension, drivetrain, brakes wheels/tires, fluids and countless other things that make a 108" wheelbase car a car.

I'll have to look at my log book I might have that written down later on put a steel headed 454 in it didn't want to know what those scale numbers were!

reason why I am asking cause we could never get the G body circle track cars anywhere close to 50/50 due to the engine sitting so far forward

I think there is a type O, as in 1800 not 1300, add engine 550, transmission 150?, rad and fluid 100?, roll cage and seat??
1 stripped a 86 cutlass, interior, rad, engine, transmission and other odds and ends and it went across the scrap yard scales at 1680 lbs.

mine is a 85 monte ss. 8.50 cage, fiberglass hood, front clip, doors, trunk lid. 582 BBC, 4 gals of fuel, 2 full nitrous bottles, trz front suspension, trz rack and steering column. has stock front and rear glass. 2710 lbs without my fat *ss.
