Rad has a 3 inch core. Those might work with some trimming

The rubber saddles sit at the seam of the tank not the core. Unless you have an aluminum radiator. Then they pretty much dont fit at all unless you hack them up to almost nothing. LOL

It's aluminum. And you see the problems I'm having deciding on a silly little part

Im sure by now you realize the tanks on the aluminum radiator arent shaped like the ones on a copper/brass radiator. This subject has been talked about countless times. Im using a Cutlass hold down in both of my cars. I didnt like the way the whole thing looked and fit so I went with a 4 row copper/brass. Some guy have modified the saddles, some used pieces of inner tubes, some made custom mounts. If you do a search for the word radiator you'll see all the threads and maybe come up with a good solution.
I know exactly what youre going through. LOL Good luck.

I made my own rubber cushion and glued them to my aluminum rad before installing the rad.

Great idea. I have some new never used rad hoses for a Cummins I don't have anymore. Problem solved!

Do you remember what glue you used?

Gorilla super glue....

I don't know if the glue will hold up with the heat but I wanted to hold the rubber in place while I install the rad. It's not going to move with the rad sitting on it and if I have to reglue it again if I remove the rad is easy enough
