I am about to put a 9" in my car to replace the 10 bolt. For those that have done this, where did you mount the square brake distribution block that bolts to the driver side of the pinion snout on the stock g body rears?

A simple L bracket off one of the center section studs works pretty well.
Thats what I was thinking but I wasent sure how sturdy the bracket would need to be. Also if placement is that important. On the stock rear the block attatches pretty low, basically at axle level. With my center a simple L bracket wouldnt work so well in that spot. It would probably work ok on one of the top couple studs on the center though. Do you have any pics of where you mounted yours?

This might help... I used Rivnuts to mount the distribution block and brackets to my FAB9 (Chris Alston's Chassisworks). I bent some tubing to go around the top of the center section. Let me know if you need anything else.

I just welded a bolt to the housing since the hose end has a mounting hole in it.

This works really well. I went with a -3AN block but you could go stock and upgrade later or just run it.

I don't suggest running lines along the back of the axle, route along the top, shock clearance and exhaust clearance may be an issue. I made that mistake.

That's how I did mine. Made a pattern out of an index card, then repeated it in metal. Tacked a nut on the bottom to thread the bolt into. You could even bolt and nut it without the welding.

I made a bracket but I drilled and tapped a hole in one of the fins on the case to mount it.
This was after doing some mock ups and testing suspension travel to make sure the flex hose can move properly.
