Rear brake line fitting size 86 montecarlo

why aren't you using a new flex line in the rear?

Yes I did use a new line on it. That was the old one I took off in the picture.

That looks like a compression fitting on the line connected to the flex hose. A good connection for transmission lines but really not a good idea for a brake line. Double flares are highly recommended...timo22

Probably why the old brakes were not that great. I double flared a nes line with a new hose.

Sorry, my bonneville had the same set up. So that ‘s at least two guys that didn’t know compression fittings are not good for brake lines. I wasn’t trying to imply anything on your knowledge just putting it out there just in case..timo22
