While I have mine out, do the arms from Spohn, BMR etc. make a noticable difference or
will just putting poly bushings in the stock ones work just as well. Also if I lower the car 1"
would the adjustable tops be required.

The car is just a driver no plans for big horsepower but would like ride and handling to be good.

to me sounds like you dont want to go crazy with the car so in that case ,the car would be fine with your stock arms and no need to change any arms to lower the car,add a rear sway bar if you dont have one already and i think youll be set for alittle fun ...

+2 on the sway bar also i would run the polly bushings as you stated but i would box them in also. All the companys you mentioned are all reputable to some degree but are expensive.Your idea of polly bushings and the added boxing i stated should suffice nicely.

I recently bought all the Edelbrock stuff for my rear (including the anti-hop bars). It made a HUGE difference. But boxing the stock ones and the poly bushings (only on the rear side, use rubber on the frame side), and with a sway bar would do pretty much the same thing. And for a whole lot cheaper.

it depends on how hard you'll push the car. the stock arms are designed to twist and flex with the axle. if you go with tubular arms (or boxed in stockers) you lose the flex and the irregularities caused by this, BUT, the rear can bind in hard cornering--adding unpredictability. if you want the best, get tubular arms with heim style ends on one side. this allows the rear to fully articulate with out any slop. currie and spohn both carry them.
no matter what, get a rear sway bar ( i think they only came in one size-- 7/8) and make sure you have a front bar. the best cheap way is a late model F-41 bar-- 1.25in dia or the f-body 36mm hollow bar.
larger can be better, but be careful of going too large, especially in the rear.

get your minds out of the gutter! sick bastards!

Just want to add, the Edelbrock double adjustable uppers have the heim style ends too. But the lowers don't.
