I been wanting to do a rear disc swap on my cutlass & I found a 1985 Cadillac Eldorado with rear disc brakes at a local salvage yard so i can probably get everything I need for cheap. Both rotors which are the same bolt pattern& calipers are there & the proportioning valve but I dont know if I need that or not. I have read about people using these parts to do a rear disc swap but never seen pics after it was finished or heard any feedback after the conversion was complete. Is this a pretty good kit to put on my 7.5" rear end & what brackets will need to mount everything? I''m waiting to see Sickolds setup to get a better idea of how everything goes.

I wish you took a pic behind the rotor. It all depends on whether the Eldorado uses a 3 bolt axle flange or a 4 bolt flange. If it is a 3 bolt flange, it should work. But I'm sure someone else will chime in.

The main problem with trying to convert a 7.5 rear end to disc is its unique 3 bolt axle flange while most rear ends used a 4 bolt flange.

That's the rear rotor? I didn't know the cadi's were front wheel drive.

What gets me with those pics is that there's all this high dollar stuff and then you see a cheesy worm clamp on the axle. It looks like the e-brake cables are zip tied too. I could be mistaken, but those might be Vette calipers.
