So let me get this right before i go spending a lot of money for this swap. 1) I need a proportioning valve from a 4 wheel disc car. Where do i hook this up? Near the master cylinder like most cars where all 4 lines will go into it? 2) I also need a master cylinder for a 4 wheel disc car? Maybe a Firebird of the same era, say like a 87-88? Will this master cylinder bolt up to my brake booster? 3) I need to have my current drive shaft shortened or get one from a Grand National or other Gbody with a 8.5 rearend? Is there anything else that i am overlooking or forgetting? If anybody can help me with these questions i would greatly appreciate it

I don't believe you need a different master cylinder. The distribution block on the frame is what needs modified. Driver side right behind lower A-frame. (FEX3-Clone has some nice pics of his) It needs the guts drilled out to the rear line or do what I did. I bought a "right stuff'" distribution block from either Summit or Jegs ( one is a lot cheaper than the other, can't remember which. about $75). Then add a $30 adjustable proportioning valve in line. This will allow you to fine tune you set-up specifically for your car. The only other problem you may have is figuring out your rear emergency brake cables. I will have some made by Control Cables. I am using 93-97 Z28 calipers on mine, so the set-up is differnt as far as the E-brake cables go.
