1/4 mile and tire size not 100% sure yet but it will be on a 15' rim and probably 28 or 29x no less than 10 wide and no bigger than 12.50 if they fit without rubbing. im getting my frame notched and mini tubs in the near future aslong as things go right.

You still haven't said your max rpm. But with a 28" tall tire you may be pushing running out of gear before the end of the quarter with a 4.10. 3.73's would be a safer bet but if you are spinning it higher than i'm guessing or you go with a 29" ish tall tire then i'd say go 4.10.

In my firebird with a 455 Olds, I run a 3.90 gear, 28x9 slick. Pulls consistant 1.58 60' times and tachs out at 5400rpm on the big end.

If the suspension is right (front and rear), you don't need a big tire.

6000 or 65000 im guessing. It will have more power eventually im gonna try and get around 650 700hp as soon as I figure out what all I need to do it and have the money built up to do so. I plan on getting heads from mondello that are edelbrock heads that are ported and all that fun stuff with a port matched torker intake and a much better cam than the one I have. Im trying to get things for the suspension and rear that i wont have to replace later cause I add more power.

my cutlass cruises on the highway at about 3000 rpm at 70 MPH. i supposedly have a 3.42 gear. havn't pulled the cover to check yet. tire size is a 275/60/15. I shift it at about 4500 rpm and it chirps them into third with my custom shift kit in my th350. i have a 1500-2000 stall converter. I have a hard time hooking up.

Does that 3.42 gear sound right.
