ok i took the one back for the jeep and got the one for the f 250 same thing the main fitting on the car is to big.what can i do try some kind of adabtor or get the right fitting and cut the old one off and put on a new one.

We have a nice brake illustrated book at NAPA that shows the ends and sizes and the overall length of the hose. You need to go to a parts store that will get a book out and actually help you. If you know what the length you need, I can look it up tomorrow at work and get you a good part number.

well i think the main line is 5/16 and and the ones that split are 1/8? i will found the right size.

the line to the back is 1/4 and the one that split off are 1/8.that is the size of the lines them self.so the fitting are 5/16 and 3/16 or 3/8?

An adapter could be an option for you. The brake fittings are measured by the line them (1/8" line would be 1/8" tube, and so on)
So you are redoing everything after the main rear line? You should just need a brass tee block. You can run any size line you want from the tee, you shouldn't have to 1/8" tube. Since the factory brake line setup for the car won't work, you don't necessarily need to run the exact same thing. 3/16" brake is much more common and will be much easier to find custom brake hoses.

i just need some kind of reducer with one size being 1/4 and and than 1/8 inch.1/4 inch being female and 1/8 being male so it can screw into the new brake hose.

thank you all for the info.i got a brake hose for a 97 jeep cheeroke part number 78115 brake ware from auto zone and a reducer from pep boys part number 43303 brass-tite.seems to fit real nice,i am so happy. 😀

That's screwy, sounds like someone put different lines in your car, it should've (the car) had the same size fittings on all three connections. At least you got it figured out.
