Hey guys, Ive been looking through forums on top of forums and i just cant find what you exactly need to swap out an A/X body rear into a G body. More particularly my 87 Monte SS. Iv read that all you need is adjustable upper arms and that icemen has them but i want someone who actually as done it or knows someone who's done it to give me the break down on what i EXACTLY need down to the very tip. I'm a college student and don't have the money(like many of us don't) to make mistakes on this swap. I found the rear(here's the link) http://cnj.craigslist.org/pts/4098567772.html. I want to go this route b/c other 8.5 rears like from a GN or Cutlass 442 are hard to find and way to expensive more me at this moment and i find it easier and cheaper to go this way.

If that's out of a 1970 Nova it will be too wide and your tires will stick out a little past the wheel wells. It can be done though, someone who has done this swap will chime in.

Yeah i dont mind them sticking out a little i kinda alrdy was looking for them to do that haha. But thanks and hopfully someone does soon.

The rear end in that ad will not bolt into a G body car.
Keep looking.
