I have a 8.5 10 bolt out of vehicle with leaf springs. Does anybody know if there is a kit or any thing I can get down to this diff to make it useable for my 80 malibu. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Anything can be done but some things are not worth the trouble. There are 4 link rears out there that fit the G bodies so why not find one that works

I brought a junkyard rear from a 1982 el Camino for $200 bucks. It was a 10 bolt 7.5 with a possi unit and 2:43 gears. I brought a jegs gear and rear end rebuild kit and did it over with 4:10 gears. It bolted right up to my Malibu wagon and works great. I spent a total of about $600 in the whole thing. It was affordable and works great. Extremely happy with it. Currently using 275/6015 nitto 555r drag radials. Had to use a 1 3/4 wheel spacer and fold the inner wheel well lips. Fits good now.

I guess with 4.10 gears you don't do a lot of highway driving. An overdrive trans would help rectify that problem.

Yea I drive the highways, but not very far. Most about 60 miles. I do want to do a overdrive swap but I need one that handles over 550hp.
