ok so i have a 79 monte and it sits way to level for my liking i want to lift the back some to give it that older hot rod look. plus to help fit a set of fatter tires on rear set i have now hit the quarter lip a bit.
I m not to sure on hot to get the hight up? (used to leaf spring cars)
i like the look of these 2 cars

The Donks have figured out how to fit 22" and 24" wheels to a G-body and B-body with longer springs. Try searching EBay for lift springs.

If you are going to do it like the 80's then you need air shocks and shock extensions and you will also need the mandatory chrome rearend cover.

Get yourself some air shocks and play with them for awhile. They can be had for around 60 bucks and are easy enough to install. This will help you dial in on how much lift you really need/want. Then go from there. I dont suggest air shocks for any long term height changes.

Agree with the shock extensions. Or longer shocks. Same source for the lift springs can probably recommend the appropriate shocks.
I also recall load assist shocks that have a coil spring around them. Keep in mind, though, that the shock bolt holes in your axle are 7/16" and were not intended to take on the weight of the rear of the car...
