front been done .. however my friend said that he replaced the rear too... i can see there's new pearch's and kinda looks like new springs but the shocks look like cheapish, but the problem is the rear end clunks bad/bottoms out... when driving over harsh bumbs even little ones.. so would it be the shocks doing this or the springs too ?? i'm getting new shocks for sure.. but the springs i dont know if i should replace or not

The shocks can do that. Just change them and see what it rides like after. Then you will know for sure if you have to do anything about the springs.

if your rear body mount is rusted and broken it will "clunk" over bumps,

id say if they are cheap shocks then they will bottom out

so if the shock is causing that then would they be wearing out the springs?

where blue is that spot i noticed is compressed together so not sure if it's cause of the shocks or bad shock an spring, also wheres the rear body mount?

Not exactly. The spring supports the wieght of the body but when you hit a bump the shock is supposed to slow down the movement of the suspension. When the shocks are worn out they cant slow down the movement fast enough before something bottoms out. (I know that is a vague description.) As far as the springs in the picture, those are perfectly fine. They are variable rate springs. The loosely wound part gives you a decent ride but when compressed to the tighter wound part it firms up the rate. I hope at least some of my babbling makes sence. 🙂

right.. those are whats in there however what i ment was the blue outline just where the tighter wound is it's not spaced on mine it's compressed down i.e. no spacing there.. as the car is parked.. is that normal?

I could understand them being closer but not touching. Is there any chance your friend heated them up to lower it a bit?

dont think so.. but i'll check again just to make sure it's not a fluke but pretty sure they were.. but that we mean new springs then right?

I'd stick with just doing the shocks first and see what happens.

see< this see how it's compressed is that suppose to be that way? or is this a bad spring?
