rear suspension

From the pictures it doesn't look like you have variable rate springs. It looks like you have a standard spring and the top two coils are just close to each other. Depending on the type of springs that are on there it could be that manufacturer's normal coil wrap. Are these springs shorter than stock? Are they new or used springs? Maybe the incorrect springs?

A quick-n-dirty check of the shocks is to just push down on the rear of the car a couple of times and let it go. If it keeps "bouncing", i.e. going up and down, more than once or twice your shocks are probably bad. Again, crude and dirty but a quck way to tell. Also, you can pull the shocks and if you can compress it by hand very easily it's toast, unless it's a drag shock.

why dont you just check to see if any bolts are loose first? you said your friend swapped the rear right? all that stuff comes out anyway

not switched rear he had put new springs an shocks one time

springs that make

is there any springs that make the car rear sit 1in higher having slight rake to it
