I have a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix , looking to put 17" wheels on , I tried to put a 17"x9.5 with a 5 in backspace and my wheel stud are to short and there look like there on room for a tire , a punch of people r telling me they should fit !! Any one know what I'm doing wrong ?

when I installed my Boss 18in 338's I had to replace all my studs... rear rims had 5.5 bs I believe.. Dorman studs I used were part number 610-323 but since the drivers side rear had contact with the frame I installed a 5/16in spacer along with GM performance parts studs # 22551491
