Wanted to know were i can find the parts i need to rebuild the rear at a good price. another question other then the cover gasket, are the wheel bearings, seals, wheel cylinders, brake shoes the same as the 7.5?

Yes ... all of your wheel bearings, seals and brake parts are all the same as a 7.5" rear 8)

GM has discontinued the clutch packs for these S-spring posi's after Eaton converted to the coil pack spring system.

everyone I've found ran out of inventory about a year back, and everyone stopped making them. PontiacGP helped find me someone who paid for tooling and started manufacturing his own. Contact [email protected] , name is Bruce. He charges $209 USD for a set, comes included with shims. That's same price you would have paid for GM set.

all other components are still available aftermarket. You can find the S-spring itself on GBodyParts.com for $10.15

for all other components, including spider gears, overhaul kits (bearings, shims, crush sleeves, etc...) I've found the cheapest prices at http://www.JustDifferentials.com/

if you're planning just to rebuild, no other modifications like gears or axles. Your cheapest bet is to purchase an overhaul kit, get an S-spring from gbodyparts.com, and the clutch pack from BPonti442 (aka: Bruce)
