Recent G-body Prices - WTF?

Ok so the link I posted is the email reply so yeah anyway it's a 85 Cutlass on long island he's asking 1500 body looks ok from the pictures posted says something wrong with the transmission

Looks like it has ocean salt rust and no road salt rust. Heck of a deal for $1500.
 
What am I missing here? Where's the shifter on that car?

You know when its cold, there sometime can be "significant shrinkage"? Well there you go.

He says he recently swapped buckets for that split bench. The shifter bits are probably under the tunnel cup holder. A better anti theft device than the alarm speaker under the hood.

The next sudden wave/trend of demand? '94 'S-Series' trucks. Next year is the emissions-testing cutoff for them.
