Redneck apartment complex?

Montreal built something like that for the 67 World Fair held in Montreal. I was living there and went the worlds fair They called this pace Habitat 67...

Looks like an apartment complex had a bad case of termites. Instead of fixing everything they just cut out the bad walls turning interior ones to exterior ones.

Interesting engineering, but...
 
Don’t think it would be very energy efficient. Installing all utilities when building was probably a real PITA. Different for sure but wierd.

all the cubes that are identical were built in a factory and then put in place. The apartments have different sizes depending on how many cubes that aprtment has and people are still living there. The apartments go for over $1,000.000 now.

Look at the closeup pic, doesn't seem to bad. Concept seems to be a series of towers that rely heavily on cantilever to create protrusions of all sorts. Making some 20ft and some 2ft make the illusion of a pile of rectangles.

If guess utilities climb each core then spread off slightly.

Bigger issue is what the safety factor was. When built the load would be balanced, and then some. But look how many sun awnings took over the patios, all those add weight... significant weight.
