Removing computer

it won't run, you'll need to replace the carb and distributor to make it run...the rest of the components you can remove.....you might want to use a bypass to kick in the lock up in the transmission

Yes, it will run. It will just be extremely rich and timing will probably be off. You won't be able to make it run right without replacing the carb and distributor with non computer controlled ones.
 
Short answer, don't do it. These engines were designed to operate on the computer which controls the distrbutor curve, lock up on the trans, fuel mixture and your AC compressor relay.
Your AC won't work properly and the trans won't lock up giving you horrible fuel economy.
It's best to leave it all alone and fix it properly, otherwise swap out the engine for a 330, 350 or 403 if your looking to increase performance. Removing the computer will just do the opposite...
