They are very rusty to be stainless, but they might be some low-grade stainless.

There is nothing better to do on a warn spring night that sit in the driveway, drink a cold adult beverage and listen to a ford rust.
If you have an oxy-acetelene torch, I suggest picking up a cutting tip for it. You already have most everything you need, its worth the cost, even for a cheap harbor freight cutting torch. I have to say that buying my torches was a great purchase, I don't use them often, but when I do, its wonderful to have them.
oxy torches are great but the plasma is so fast it doesn't even heat up the surrounding metal. Its also so fast that if not careful you end up cutting thru more than intended. Like torches they don't like rust so prepare for the spark shower and be safe
