Removing Vinyl top.....

Are you sure I don't need the rear window? The gap is pretty big when I took the vinyl off. I checked craigs lists and many other sites and I cannot find the quarter panel windows. I think I may have to purchase them new if that's possible. I'm sure its going to cost me way more then I thought.
You don't need a rear window they are the same with or without a vinyl, your rear window trim will cover the gap.
The quarter windows and rubber molding are also the same and you could reuse them but you might never get the molding to lay flat again after being pushed out from the vinyl top for 30 years which would probably end up with a leak and as far as I know there are no aftermarket replacements but there could be.
You could post in the "Wanted" section on here someone might have some they would be willing to sell you.

Thank!
I posted in the "WANTED" section. I hope I can find someone that has everything I need for some good prices.

Don't know about Montes, but for Regals there is a difference between the quarter windows for vinyl and hardtop cars. The vinyl top quarter windows have a thiner trim around them that will leave a large gap if the vinyl is removed. Hardtops have a thicker trim around the windows. I think the factory just cut the trim thiner on the glass before installing them on the vinyl top Regals.

I still have my old chrome trimmed quarter windows from my Monte when it had the vinyl and then replaced them with Monte SS quarter windows just so the seals would lay flat but no difference other than that, but on my Monte the vinyl had very thin foam but I imagine they might trim the rubber if it is one of those thick foamed vinyl tops.
I also now have an 85 Regal with a vinyl and an 86 Regal hardtop and the rubber on those quarter windows are different. It might also depend on who did the install as lot were sent out to conversion shops.
