Hi guys,
So I got two sets of tires to burn off before I buy new ones next week. So that means burnouts and donuts. Does the factory computer cut the fun at some point? I don't want to blow up the original 307 and wasn't sure if the computer has my back or if I need to be careful what I do. So does the factory computer have a rev limiter?

No, it does not have a rev limiter.

Enjoy burning off them tires! Only rev limiter is when a rod or piston blasts out the new air scoop you will make in the hood! 🙂

you can make your own rev limiter if you want, it's somewhat complicated but I can send you the detailed drawing that you will need to fabricate the limiter

Usually olds motors chew up push rods when there over reved but any carnage is possible. Put a tac in it and watch what your doing or just blow it up then go easy

Pour some bleach on the ground if you are going to burn up the tires!!!

Typical stock gm hei ignitions are basically ineffective, after 6k-7k rpms anyways so don't expect full combustion and power beyond that. Peg it and hold it at 6k and you should be good.
