RIP Dusty Hill

I heard about Dusty Hill's passing early this morning just as we were heading out to set up our work zones for the day. It's not going to be the same with out him being around when it comes to ZZ Top. But he was able to jam out right to the end.

Two of my most favourite ZZ Top tunes.
Ever.

It was the first real rock concert for me. Maple Leaf Gardens ZZ Live in 85 ( Eliminator Tour ). My sister ( 11 years my senior ) took me. I was 14. When Cheap Sunglasses came on a certain "puff puff pass it on " came down the line. My sister said hand it over when I was done. Great concert LOL

Always hoped to take at least one of my kids to see them live. My son to this day loves La Grange and cranks it any time it comes on in the car or on the radio. They made a lot of noise for a 3 piece band !!

For my gearhead friends...

Killer B-side from Afterburner....

Saw them twice in concert and I feel damn lucky that I did. So much talent in three musicians. They made it look so easy when they play onstage. I've played guitar for over 20 years and I still get blown away listening to ZZ top. One of my all time favorite bands. RIP Dusty Hill.

My 6 year old daughter and I listen to ZZ Top in the car. Beats the $hit out of baby shark!!!

We had a pretty good concert in his honor tonight at the ol' Hacienda. It didn't suck.

Bought my first zz top cassette last year.
The treble is gone
But I jam that sh*t anyway.
