Seen alot of talk going around about using Apple cider vinegar to remove rust! Never seen it and never tried it! For anyone like me, I tried it, and boy was I surprised.

Went to Wally world and got a cheap gallon of vinegar. Found a small container to put my part in. Put vinegar in and added my part.

Granted I got side tracked and left it sit a week and got these results. It might not take a week, but none the less, I'm sueprised.

One on the left is before, the one on the right is after. Only thing I did was run it under hot water and "scrub" it a little with a rag after it came " out the drink"!

I've used vinegar for carb parts. Not apple cider vinegar, just the cheap white wine distilled vinegar. It works great for all the tiny screws, springs and linkages that get rusty or get that white nasty corrosion on them.
