Either rebuild the desireable KZ code (metal transmission tag) 200-4r or keep it for future resale of your 442. I know its not a Hemi Cuda but its not a generic Cutlass either. Numbers matching cars means vins, engine, transmission, and rear. So if you have that almost gutless vin 9 307 keep it under the workbench also.

Lonnie Diers long time Grand National 200-4r guru has a special right now no core charge or trade in required guaranteed to 10.90s ET 200-4r for 1,295! Same or slightly better acceleration of your 3.73 th400 only with the engine rpm saving and mileage of a 2.49 final drive ratio! Plus another 2 to 300 rpms, 1mpg & possibly 1/10th (manual lock up 3rd) if you also upgrade to the lock up converter. Maybe 12mpg to 17mpg and again 1/3 less rpm on the highway. I know 10.90 ET is way stronger than you need for that little old double hump headed 350 but the cost difference over a quality regular 200-4r rebuild is negligable. PS keep that good th400 for a nice drag car project.
