S10 Extreme Brakes

you could use the 4wd spindles and just use a freeze plug to drive in the open hole to keep dirt out

This may or may not apply here but in many FWD applications the outer stub of the axle and the nut actually hold the bearing assembly together. Even with the axle holding it together, if the torque spec on the axle nut is incorrect the bearing will fail prematurely. You might want to use a 2WD specific hub assembly just to be safe.

It really doesn't apply here. My one ton Chevy truck is similar. Spindles are the same on 2WD and 4WD. The only difference is the hole through the bearing for the axle. In either case, the hub and bearing is retained to the spindle by four bolts around the outside of the bearing, not the axle shaft.

I had a 98 s10 blazer that was 2wd and it used the same part number bearing hub as the 4wd

I'm looking at getting this S10 setup for my 86 Monte while I've have my front end apart installing new bushings and ball joints. . I was wondered if you can run stock rims with this set-up or is there a minimum rim size. Thanks in advanced

it should clear most 15" wheels since that is what all the s10 blazers had except the extreme's and those were 16" but all the s10 blazers use the same brakes 98+

ok thanks. .I want to run the stock SS rims for now to save some money to put towards an engine. .so hopefully the fit right. .i guess i could always go put an SS rim on my mom's 01 Blazer and see if it fits

It may not be the cheap option guys but napa auto parts has everything you need! Including the spindles we just started carrying them.

nope not the cheapest route when I had my s10 blazer the bearing hubs were around 250.00 a side

i found the hubs on ebay last night for $50.00 each new ,i guess there droped in price alot ,one fast question does this setup change the width at all from stock.
