Update: There has been some shuffling of cars/parts and this car finally lives in my garage.
I did a final mow/mulch and put the yard equipment away for the season. It was way too nice to go back into the house. So I cleaned the shop threw on some tunes and got to working on cleaning the car.

Great album Highly recommend.

There is so much dust on everything in this car.

After just a quick wipe down.

Wiped down, vacuumed and and the armrest put back on. I need to see if I can find some of the covers for the door pull strap screws.

With hardly any cleaning wipes left I figured Id move on to the radio and dash face.

I wiped the radio down quickly. Looks way better, I really wish I still had some of my cassettes because I really don't want to change this out.

Figured I would pull the ashtray and see what kind of messterpiece was in there. I was pretty surprised to pull this out

Not sure if it was ever used. Still has all the factory shmoo on the bearings.
Ill pick up a few supplies on the way home tomorrow and hopefully get the rest of the car cleaned this week. Ill move on to draining the bad gas and look into the carb/plugs/wires next weekend with any luck.

I went out to the garage to take the carb apart for cleaning and fresh gaskets.
It leaked out a sticky gritty mess on the bench.

Found the main body to the throttle plate had 2 gaskets. Neat thats a new one for me.

Ran out of carb cleaner. I'll get some tomorrow so I can finish and reassemble. I have a set of fresh plugs to throw in as well.

Bit of an update since last post.

This morning/afternoon I removed the bench seat and carpets to see the extent of the patch job Ive got ahead of me. More than I was hoping, but I will plug away at it the next few days after work.

I really want to get this car ready for cruising this spring, for a few reasons. 1. I'd love to cruise/daily this car as much as possible. 2. I will need it out of the garage as much as possible The plan is to enjoying while The new frame/drive train gets assembled over the course of this summer/spring.

Now that I made a list I mean it needs to get done right? Put some fairly low hanging fruit on this list for the moral victories, but still for sure need attention

Wish my floor looked like that. I got both front sections & under the rear seat.

Poorly documented updates are better than no updates. It's how I roll. Thanks for the reminder D!

My Father in-Law came down for a nice family visit this weekend and to help me out Saturday with my floor repair project. He also came bearing a gift of sorts, Ill get into that shortly.

Saturday morning we got out to the garage and got to work. He worked on the car on the inside cutting out rot While I got to work on getting the donor pan cut roughly into shape out in the driveway. After removing and installing the floor pan about 50 times We were finally happy enough with the fitment to tack the floor in place.

It's not perfect, but its a big step forwards and the first type of repair like this I have attempted.

That's currently how the floor sits as of this evening. Lots of work to do yet, and only 1 day I can get out there this week now.

Here is a sneak peak at what my Father In-law dropped off. He is a magician at these driveway finds for next to nothing. Just going to put that out there.

Ive also got a set of rims I am bringing back from my hometown this weekend.
My wife owned them in the past and they have made the round trip back into our possession for this Car.

Well that's probably going to be an entire other tread on it's own...

Been doing quite a bit to the car but finally made some good progress over the week or so.
Repaired the broken headliner and got it cleaned of for recovering.

Ive swapped out the rear tray and dash cover and 3rd break light. These were both in terrible condition.

Cleaned up the carpet and finally threw it back into the car and set the pass seat in for more motivation.

We have a local cruise weekend coming up in about 3 weeks and I am trying to get the car together. My FIL is bringing his Fargo for the weekend wants to cruise.

If all else fails Ive got the Xtreme but I'll push hard on the Regal. I am on vacation next week so we will see how it goes.

With the finish still that nice, were it me, I'd be thinking about doing a fast color sand and then shooting a coat of clear, gloss or semi-gloss to seal the paint back up and protect what's there. That's a nice two-tone color combination.

I haven't put much thought into yet actually. May be an option.
