Ya is it only leaking out of the one side of the engine? Swap the valve covers for now and see if the leak follows the valve cover that currently is on the leaking side. If it does then your valve covers are warped.

Do you think it may have something to do with the high volume oil pump producing too much oil up top at high rpms?

No I don't think it would cause any leaks. There really isn't a whole ton of oil pressure at the top of the engine.

Thanks again for the help. I meant to say i did replace the pcv valve. Also i do have another set of valve covers i could try. I just ruled them out cuz its not the same spot as before but you could be right. Ill post up what happens later in the week. Thanks again guys.

Are you using hold downs? Are the valve covers just cheap stamped ones? Usually those need valve cover hold downs to distribute the clamping force of the bolt and ensure a good seal. Getting a sbc valve cover to seal isn't rocket science. Buy some cheap cork gaskets and a tube of rtv. Coat the cork gaskets with rtv and snug the bolts, not gorilla tight but snug them. Shouldn't have a problem. Good luck.

I dont really know if they are considered cheapos or not. There ribbed edelbrocks but i couldnt tell you if there the higher end of there valve covers or not but i know nancy and vic edelbrock personally and i really dont think there the type to put there name on anything they wouldnt approve but there are pics of them on other Posts ive done. Im gona try tightening them down since ive drove it now and let it hea up and cool of a few times and c what happens.
