Well Its A TBI Motor, And It Is Sitting In His Friends Garage And His Friend Wants It Out hahaha. Ill Let You Guys Know What I Find When I Go Look At It. Thanks For Your Help.

That's a great deal for a running engine. I would take some marvel mystery oil or something and squirt a little in each of cylinders through the spark plug holes before trying to turn it over.

Are you planning to buy a TBI to carb adapter or are you planning on changing the intake out?

I wouldn't tear it down. Just swap what needs to be swapped to run and give it a shot. TBI intake pattern is different than carb intake pattern (or Vortec). There will probably be no provision for mechanical fuel pump. If the water pump is still on it, it is probably reverse rotation. You'll need the corresponding 1-piece rear main seal flexplate/flywheel if the new engine doesn't still have it. It may also have an oil filter adapter made for oil cooler.

Hey Guys, Got The Motor For Free Yesterday, But It Is Just What Driven Stated. I Thought I Would Of Lucked Out And Gotten A Roller Block But Its Not So I Going To Use It As A Core And Get A Motor To Swap At A Local Yard For $99.00. Thanks For Your Help Guys.

So it wasn't drilled out for a fuel pump? Does it just have the boss on the side with a plate covering it? I would hate to trade a known good engine for something that you don't know anything about.

Any chance you could throw a Holley Red inline fuel pump and a tbi to carb adapter on it?

I have a lead on a SBC 305 he wants to trade for some parts to get is SBC 350 running, and I happen to have all the parts he is in need for so i going to go look at that on wednesday. I will be selling the TBI 350 i got yesterday.

Hey Guys I Did Get The 305. It Turns Over Like Butter And Has Great Compression So It Will Be Going In Early Next Week. The 355 Will Be Coming Out Tomorrow 🙂
