SBC ENGINE CLAMSGELL MOUNTS

Okay thanks. The through bolts I got are 3/8 but seems could be a little bigger. Should I use 7/16?

edit: lots of reviews on the summit page for the OER mounts says they used them in a g body. I will try to mount them on the block tomorrow. They fit the clamshell perfect.
These didnt work because the engine plate is too wide for the clamshell.

In the catalog it's p/n 334970 (not the same number stamped on it, 334971). List as the following:
'73-'77 A w/ SBC
'78-'88 A/G w/ SBC
'75-'79 X w/ SBC
'82-'91 F w/ SBC, LH only
'77-'90 B w/ SBC
'91-'96 B w/ gen 2 SBC

There is no other p/n's or applications that would cross for our cars. Not even the '73-'75 A w/ BBC p/n would cross over.
This? I cant find that part no. anywhere else.

I zoomed in & see a partial stamping of "3349" but couldn't see id it had "71" after it. I've never seen a weld nut on them but there is a chance from one of the cars that used might have it.

Try this, they have "334971" stamped on it.

If you can find them, the ones with the caged nut on one side along with the pointed through bolts are really nice to have. Makes it much easier imho...that eBay auction looks like them.

334970 is the original ones I used, at the time (circa 1989) I used the part number lookup for the 82-87 G Body EXPORT TO CANADA listing that had the 267J or 305H SBC engine fitted. They've been on their since.

Good luck!

These didn’t work either. Too wide.

Almost identical to the 2nd gen fbody OER mounts

Look real carefully at your frame side mounts, they look like they're in upside down?

If you look the rubberized insert on the frame side mounts are down low almost to the bottom of the outer shell. If they were flipped around, they would be sitting higher up and look like they would line up with the engine side mount through bolt holes?

Am I missing something? Could your frame side mounts rubber insert bushings have slid down, or torn from the weight of trying to maybe force the engine onto them while in upside down?

Just basing on what the pics seem to show...

I went back and looked at the pics of the frame mounts on mine, and they are 100% original GM OEM ones I bought new back in 1989. They're actually still available (original part # 459021) but currently # 22188497

Anyway, what I noticed was that the rivet that holds the two halves of the metal around the rubber bushing (top and bottom center) has different alignment with the bolt holes that attach to the frame crossmember.

Notice the top rivet is in a straight light with the two top bolt holes, and the bottom rivet is below that plane of the two bottom bolt holes.

I guess this could be a way to confirm you have those frame mounts oriented properly?

Maybe I'm just reaching at straws, and way off....wouldn't be the first time. 🤔
