The problem with the Johnson chassis and parts are they are specifically made to maintain exact dimensions to the stock components, so you arent gaining much, They also do not build any adjustment in, they were a customer of ours at my last job, and you can order one however you want but you are still hampered from the start.

By the time you located all the body mount holes and made bushings the correct thickness you wouldve been better off reinforcing a stock frame and adding all the braces. Youre better off spending the money on things that attach to the frame anyways if you have a budget like most of us.

Pontiacgp the frame you posted just above is the Johnson frame.

Do you have an example of this installed on a metric chassis?

Sure dont, but clipping a car isnt hard. I think a true DIYer with some skills could mate the road race front clip with a rear clip of theirs and do all the body mounts like I mentioned, it isnt too intimidating of a job you would just have to build a jig to locate the holes ... again...

" All suspension pick up points, both front and rear, are exactly the same as a “Stock” Metric GM chassis. All stock suspension pieces will bolt directly to this tubular frame same as stock frame, and the frame weighs the same 225 pounds as bare stock frame. The frame is designed to be a replacement, and not something to gain an advantage on anything other than the time to build it, and the ease to locate it."

Not to be a dick but...what do I get for that much money? Other than bigger tires and supposedly stiffer chassis? What about some skid pad results, torsional resistance vs. stock, etc? 200% less torsional flex than stock? What are the front and rear suspension changes/dive, squat, ackerman, pinion angle changes? I've seen the video of them stepping on a stock frame but what about real figures? And what about tieing a stock frame together at the same points and testing torsional rigidity? Nope, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I my self like the look of the Johnson racing frame better. And the price is good too.
but I wonder how good a stock body fits on it.

Like it was mentioned you'll have to the tabs and cut holes for the body mounts and modify the end of the rails for the bumper shocks. It's a good base if you know how to read drawings and have some knowledge of fabrication and welding.

If you could find a clean G body frame it would be easier to modify that frame to be stiffer and strengthen up the suppression pick up points. One thing I would do to the stock frame is remove the upper front A arms brackets and replace them with brackets so I could use equal length upper a arms. That would get rid of the anti dive set up that the G body has.

I have a lot of my time (and some help from friends) tied up in mine. It’s been blasted, boxed, braced, powder coated, Notched for tire clearance, Quick Performance Ford 9”, QA1 coilovers all the way around, metco billet control arms (rear), QA1 fronts, wilwood brakes all the way around, Spohn sway bars, etc. etc. I have about 10k total cash and a lot of elbow grease. It’s not a Schwartz but to Motörhead Mikes point the extra 24k in my pocket built the motor and trans. Sorry for the duplicates, posting pics from my phone isn’t my strong point
