cheapest I have found is $1490 but you get a a/c pump, powersteering pump and 140 amp alt and water pump all billet

I think the pulley system is different than a chevys..i have not seen 1 olds engine with a swapped serp. System beside the $$ billet ones

The sbc truck can work. Need a 4.3 v6 diesel reverse rotation water pump, which has the sbc pulley pattern. The bottom pulley is too big. Either grind for clearance or use the sbf pulley. You need spacers, the bottom triangle cut off the passenger bracket and two bolts line up. The driver's side need plate to connect it, only one bolt lines up. I tried a cobbled bracket, would only work for a short time, then bolts broke. The belt let go and took out the A/C clutch connector, I gave up. I may give it another shot, it will work with a solid plate behind. The power steering lines bolted right on from my 88 CSC .

As noted, this has been done. Larry and 83Hurst (EDIT! - FE3X Clone) from Oldspower have something in the works with a plate system. The problem that I see with the current design is lack of support for the AC unit. Perhaps they can chime in.....

Here ya go:

😉

This is a serpentine setup off a '95 S-10 with a 4.3. I designed the initial brackets/spacers and then Larry from Oldspower.com helped refine it and get them setup for machining.
I know he's sold a few sets and may have redesigned them a little more since my initial mock-up.

The only issue I've had is that the A/C bracket needs some reinforcement to keep it from moving. Early on it would pop the belt off while cranking over the engine. I have since added a few tubular braces that reinforce it back to the head/block and the drivers side bracket which has helped.
As mentioned, you would have to run an electric fuel pump as there is just no room for the mechanical pump.
You also need the reverse rotation water pump from a 4.3L OLDS diesel engine. It bolts right up to the Olds block and accepts the Chevy water pump pulley bolt pattern. I used a stock replacement S-10 power steering pump and just swapped the valve out in the back with one that matched my steering box just to be safe.
Only really odd ball think you have to get is a Ford 302 serpentine crank pulley.

You can, it just takes some adapters/spacers because the Chevy has a different accessory bolt pattern on the heads than the Olds does.

That all sounds like way too much work for me!
