Is the 350 cable the same as the 700 R4 or 200 R4 shifter cable as for fitting in the bracket
The cables are different. I'm currently using a TH 350 (3-spd)cable using a Monte Carlo 200-4R (4-spd) shifter, but of course I had to use a different bracket. The cables are different lengths and might also be different where they fit the bracket and the space between the bracket and shift lever on the the trans.

So how did you get your 350 cable to work with the shifter did all you have to do is change the bracket
In my case, I had to replace the bracket and cable. The bracket and cable were both for a 200-4R...but I'm still using the 4-spd shifter as a 3-spd. The 200-4R cable was shorter...if I recall, and wasn't compatible with the TH 350 bracket.

So do you think a 200r4 cable will work with a 700r4 bracket and did you have to change the gear selector bracket on the transmission
There's a good chance that the 200-4R cable will work with the 700-R4. I would find the bracket for the 700 first, and go from there. Good luck! It's going be trial and error.

FWIW, when I converted my car (1983 GP) from a TH-350 to 700R4, I purchased a B&M QuickSilver Shifter (#80683). It came with cable and all the right brackets. Since the car has a console, there was no need to drill any additional holes. Very simple conversion and all worked out very well. Let me know if you need more info (or pics).

Yeah I know I can go with a aftermarket shifter but I'm trying to keep the stock original shifter because the aftermarket system your car can get stolen easy all they have to do is get in put it in gear and Roll It Off

I got a bracket coming will the shift selector bracket for the turbo 350 work or will i need one for a 700r4
I'm thinking the selector bracket should be the same or similar, but again, I'm not 100% certain.

That's a good point about using the stock shifter as opposed to an aftermarket shifter. A stock shifter will lock when the column is in park position, an aftermarket will not.
