I've done quite a bit. here are some highlights:

water jetted a new dash plate:

created a custom steel hood:

Installed a C4 Corvette rear end:

Fabricated an adjustable rear end transmission torque bar and 1st x-pipe exhaust setup:

Digital Dash in my 78 El Camino. Serpentine belt drive and Cowl induction hood and Air Cleaner.
Much needed Cup Holder. ( Idea borrowed from forum member Mike P. And his Caddy powered El Camino/Monte Carlo ) 8)
I just got a Auto dimming Rear View Mirror and A Automatic headlight module from a Cadillac.
I will post pics this weekend after I get everything Cleaned up and wired.

Here’s one most people don’t notice when they look at my El Camino.

The El Caminos are probably the worst for trying to get decent speakers in especially if you still want to have access to the smugglers box. Personally I don’t need a ton of base and a bunch of amps and stuff. This worked out pretty good with the speakers are right behind my head (plus 2 in the stock dash locations). The rest of the system is a Pioneer head unit with a 6 CD changer under the passenger seat that I can change cartridges on while traveling. To me it sounds pretty good and has been very reliable.
