nice shop, wish i had the $$ and the space for that!

Let me tell ya - I dreamt about that shop for many many years before I was ever able to make it a reality. Its paid for with cash too - its a good feeling. The building is 40' x 60'. I spend a great deal of my spare time in that shop.

i would as well, paying something like that off with cash nowadays is a great accomplishment. 40 X 60 is a pretty good size shop

the yellow things are gloves and the dark blue thing is a jump suit, then i have other lil boxes full of other tools.
when i goto the junk yard i borrow my bosses foldable hand truck so i dont have to carry around 50lbs of tools.

most of my tools are from a $99 set of craftsman tools and some other odds and ends i eather got from harbor freight or inhereited, or bought for my trans rebuild. i did just order a makita drill/driver set on the innerwebs. if you get only one tool get a friggen cordless impact driver. its the business!

I NEED that foldable hand dolly!! I use my "murse" and a socket set and by the time i'm done my shoulders are killing me!! Doesn't help that i go to 3-4 junkyards on a shopping trip.. 8)
here ya go:

Thanks! I'm going to order one soon... It's been awhile since i've been "shopping"..

Bumping this one back up. The tool box resto that joesregalpost is doing reminded me of this thread. Here's a couple more I have kicking around.
An old S-K that I inherited from my grandpa:

The box is nice but the full set of 3/4" drive sockets, extensions and ratchet is the real prize. There's about 15-20 more larger sockets under the top tray. The silver box you see right behind it is a 3/4" Snap-On gun that rode in his log truck.

My brother snagged this cabinet for me that was being thrown away at his shop. Maybe when the fridge projects are done we'll refinish it. Lots of nice cubbies.

The last one was a just something I threw together when I was working at a custom door shop a few years ago. For awhile my position was such that I had to move around the facility quite a bit. The cheap-*ss management at the time wouldn't buy me a cheap little tool box so I just made one. I found an old drawer pull and used a piece of scrap melamine. It was all done on a table saw. Nothing fancy but if held all that I needed.

Just held the basics -- including my can cover to keep the dust out of my beverages. 8)

DRIVEN,

I really like the norton box, for someone from the auto-body side of repairs those boxes help keep all the surface prep stuff in order. I wouldn't mind having that box in my garage.

DennyBoy, that box is a nice one , its got the huge castor wheels and I like the deep drawers. Mine only has 2 deep ones, but then again mine is like a low end snapon / matco from what i've been told.

thanks it's like 72 inches long and 30 inches deep makes it a little hard to find tools haha. but i have more room now and better organized then my old mac tools single bank. the single worked for going back and forth to school but i forgot about tools because they were buried under other tools. the only problem about have alot of room is the want to fill it. my pocket is on fire!!!
