My old Intimidator holds duplicate tools and stuff I don't use often like 3/4" gun and sockets. The old Lumidor on top is full of clutch alignment tools and odd misc. stuff:

I mostly work out this Harbor Freight cart. It's actually a pretty accurate knock-off of a Snap-on cart my buddy has with the finish being the main difference -- oh, China. I've had the old top Craftsman since I was in school. The tray in the middle with all the sockets has handles and lifts out. Probably 98% of the tools I use on a daily basis are in this set. The whole rig fits in the back of my Datsun for when I need to go Nomad.

Over in the paint shop is another old Craftsman filled with mainly found, hand-me-down and cheap tools. Side cabinets full of sand paper and supplies:

Behind the Craftsman is a Bosch cabinet that houses more supplies and some books. There's a few small tools in the so I guess it kinda counts.

Look past the goofy bumper  , My father I combine all our tools together, makes it easier that way. Little red box with all the basic hand tools, big medical filing cabinet with all our air tools, drills, clamps, hammers, and specialty tools, medical drawers with cleaning supplies, big stand up cabinet with larger air/electric tools. The gurney makes a perect mobile workbench/tool cart  .

85GP:  ^^As much as I hate contributing to China's economy, you just can't beat those 2 HF items for the money. ^^

RO86SS: You'll learn to love the insurance companies eventually. With a good estimator in a good shop you'll eventually get a pretty good relationship with the adjusters. My brother works for a small FIX franchise that does very well. The key is not to get greedy and throw supplements on every ticket. Once the adjuster learns that you aren't trying to screw him on every job he'll start to trust you and then your estimator can start to "round up" on tickets. That only works if you have a good estimator. If he's sloppy and doesn't know how to right a proper ticket the first time none of that works. My brother has been in the biz for almost 15 years and typically does 160-180 hours a week without running a helper. Remember that tool boxes have wheels for a reason. If the shop you work at has a poor reputation and EVERY adjuster screws with you and you get audited alot, it may be time to look for a shop with a better reputation. Sometimes that industry can run a little high on drama but it usually passes. Honestly, if I didn't just hate doing body work I'd probably quit turning wrenches and go sling mud. There's certainly more money to be made.

So this is my tool box... well kinda, i own it , but the tools will always be my father's. My father passed away a few weeks ago and i was left with his tools. He was a mechanic for over 30+ years. This picture was taken after i moved the box from the shop he worked at.

I still have a lot of stuff to go through, he had tons on specialty tools, like a brand new snap-on set of alignment tools for a pinto/ mustang 2. I have plenty of my body shop tools to put away with all of his tools.
