drained transmission , and dif, no metal chips or burnt oil, minus that nasty stench diff fluid, refilled, adjusted the t/v cable, all new filters, and automatic choke, what else besides a worn band would cause the shuddering? really need a service manual... lol beside the sh*t Haynes, and the almost decent Chilton's th 2004r 3.73 posi, cable looked fine no kinks tho does look original any help haven't dealt this issue since i owned my 90' caprice interceptor don't remember what i did then , also how is the center console removed with out ripping out the console light i can get the ground off just not the positive connector any help would be appreciated

could be, never even thought about the torque converter, then again it only does it after about 30 minutes of driving

Do you have a trans cooler? could be that the fluid is getting too hot...A cooler will remedy that quick. The console light should just be a socket that can be removed with the bulb and left on the floor board.

i doubt its getting too hot, i changed the fluid after the same drive it was warm at best, and a dullish red, but not burnt, just old

and the light pulls out of the console connected with a black and orange wire i can slide the connecter out on the ground, but the power seems like it is locked in place , but where on the floor is it connected to, under the console?

does it only do this when in drive, or does it do this when you manually shift? If its just happening when in drive, your modulator could be weak....or your pump could be going bad. Ujoints usually make noise when they go bad...clunks when putting it into drive or reverse.

Try some Seafoam Transtune in it...it may have some gum build up in the passages, slowing down the fluid flow.
